Trackwork Wednesday 31 October 2018

Compton (Bachelor Duke/Ave Maree) put in a very strong gallop over 1200 metres alongside stablemate Ferrucio (Medaglia D'Oro/Lady Lynette). The pair galloped stylishly over the track and showed a good turn of foot down the straight to stop the clock at 12.2 seconds for the final furlong. Work rider Bastian Neuhaus was aboard for the effort and commented, "The gelding settled in to the gallop beautifully. He was relaxed and finished off strongly." He is flying at present, he has tightened up nicely and will return to the trials on Friday at Rosehill.

Boudicea Belle (Smart Missile/Miss Vandal) has come through her first trial very nicely, which showed in her gallop over 1000 metres. She showed a great turn of foot down the straight to cover the final furlong in 11.2 seconds and apprentice Quayde Krogh commented, "The filly didn't put a foot wrong. She was easily my best this morning, I was very happy with that." Boudicea Belle will only improve with another trial under her belt so we will get her back to the trials on Friday at Rosehill.

Mister Songman (Your Song/Kats Clause) put in a very strong gallop over 1200 metres alongside stablemate Kushiro (Novellist/Aiai Botan). He skipped over the track with a good action and quickened down the straight to stop the clock at 11.5 seconds for the final furlong. Apprentice Quayde Krogh was aboard for the effort and commented, "The gelding is starting to put it together. He was strong through the line, I was happy with that." Mister Songman is right where we want him as he edges closer to the trials on Friday at Rosehill.

Ausfighter (Fighting Sun/Ausvall) worked very strongly over 1200 metres this morning. Alongside stablemate Man And Superman (So You Think/Romincka), the gelding showed a good turn of foot down the straight to stop the clock at 11.5 seconds for the final furlong. This gallop will have Ausfighter’s fitness right where we need it ahead of his first start this preparation.
