Trackwork Wednesday 11 October 2017

Our promising son of High Chaparral, JUST A JOKE (ex Fiction) was senior rider Steve O'Halloran's best this morning when working stylishly over 1000m alongside his stablemate. Working home over his final 200m in a steady 12.0 seconds, Steve made the comment, "It was very good work. He is learning what it's all about and was strong through the line." Being by the late, great High Chaparral, he is taking his time to mature but he's certainly doing everything right and continues to improve dramatically this preparation.

CHAIN OF FOOLS (More Than Ready/Burgeis) delighted jockey Josh Parr this morning when cruising over 1200m. The filly was very professional over the 6 furlongs with Josh commenting, "I'm really pleased with her. She quickened impressively over the last 200 metres and feels ready to go." Look out for this girl at the races in the next 10 days.

Another filly whom Josh was delighted with is 2YO EXCEED AND EXCEL/GRENADA ROAD who was exceedingly competitive alongside her stablemate over 600m. It was only steady three-quarter pace work as the filly is still quite soft but she is doing everything right at this early stage with Josh commenting, "I really like her. She has a beautiful action and a lovely attitude towards her work."

The mighty FABRIZIO (High Chaparral/Desina) would have to be the most loved horse in the yard and he has come through his trial in terrific order which was confirmed by Josh this morning. Bowling over a steady 1200m, Josh commented, "He feels great and is spot on at this stage of his preparation. I can't fault him." He will resume his campaign at Randwick on the 28th of October.
