Trackwork Tuesday 29 August 2017

It was a big morning of gallops with the below horses 'Best of the Morning' for their respective riders:

The mighty mare, ENGLISH (Encosta De Lago/Court) was a pleasure to watch as she glided around the course proper over 1200m with her regular rider Steve O'Halloran in the saddle. Steve reported, "I'm really happy with her. She towed me around and she feels really well in herself." English is spot on at this stage of her prepartion and she will re-trial at Randwick on Thursday, before heading to the Group 2 The Shorts at Randwick on the 16th.

The 8yo son of High Chaparral, ECUADOR (ex Bak da Princess) went through his paces on the course proper this morning partnered by his jockey Adam Hyeronimus who reported, "It was winning work. He is spot on and has thrived in his work since his first up run." The gelding heads to Randwick on Saturday for the Group 2 Tramway Stakes over 1400m.

The progressive GOLD STANDARD (Sebring/Coniston Gem) was faultless this morning when cruising over 1200m on the course proper with jockey Tim Clark on board. Working home over his final 200m in 11.6 seconds, Tim made the comment, "He is really thriving in his work. He is such a gentleman and has a terrific attitude towards his work. He's all class." The colt is on target to contest the Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes at Rosehill in 10 days' time. Back him.
