Trackwork Tuesday 23 October 2018

Fabrizio (High Chaparral/Desina) put in a lovely gallop over 1200 metres with Jockey Tim Clark aboard this morning. The gelding earned "Best of the Morning" honors from his rider as he bowled stylishly over the final furlong in 12.4 seconds. Tim commented, "The gelding feels fit and full of running. He was more relaxed, although a bit one paced to the line." Fabrizio is oozing with confidence following his trial victory. We look forward to seeing him start soon.

Reliable Man/La Grande Dame continues to please this time in. The gelding bowled over 1000 metres with work rider Ed Fiddes in the irons. He focused on the job at hand and quickened down the straight to stop the clock at 12.5 seconds for the final furlong. Ed commented, "He was relaxed and gave a great feel. I was happy with that." Reliable Man/La Grande Dame will only improve as we build upon his base fitness over the coming days.

Kushiro (Novellist/Aiai Botan) stepped right up to full paced work this morning. The gelding galloped over 1000 metres with Steve O'Halloran in the irons. He had no qualms with the faster pace and easily quickened down the straight to stop the clock at 13.0 seconds for the final furlong. Kushiro pulled up having a small blow, which is only to be expected after his first full paced gallop this preparation but Steve was pleased with the effort and commented, "The gelding stepped up very nicely. He handled the work well and will improve nicely from that." We are elated with how Kushiro stepped up this morning.

Not A Single Doubt/Regrowth was happy to step up to full paced work this morning and the filly worked very nicely in company with Animal Kingdom/Mardi. The pair willingly quickened down the straight to stop the clock at 11.9 seconds for the final furlong and pulled up having a small blow afterwards. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus was aboard for the effort and commented, "She worked well with her stablemate. I was happy with that." Not A Single Doubt/Regrowth is willing in her work and we are pleased with how she stepped up this morning.
