Trackwork Thursday 8 September 2018

Chess Star (Fighting Sun/Social Glow) is absolutely thriving in his work at present. This morning, he put in a lovely gallop over 1200 metres at three quarter pace. The colt bowled over the track with a lovely action and stopped the clock at 14.6 seconds for the final furlong. Chess Star looks a treat at the moment, he has a shiny coat and has strengthened up beautifully over the past few weeks. We will fine tune his fitness as he edges closer to his first race this preparation.

Faretti (I Am Invincible/Tai Tai Tess) has returned to the stable a happy, healthy colt and this morning, he commenced his pacework over 600 metres at three quarter pace alongside a stablemate. The pair bowled stylishly down the straight to stop the clock at 15.7 seconds for the final furlong. Faretti covered the track with a lovely, fluid action and pulled up having a small blow. We will develop this talented colt slowly over the coming weeks to ensure that he has a strong base fitness.

Unite And Conquer (Hinchinbrook/Maglissa) has returned to the stable looking an absolute picture and this morning he commenced his pacework over 600 metres at three quarter pace. He relaxed early in to the gallop and showed exemplary focus as he bowled down the straight. Unite And Conquer has come back in holding good condition and in high spirits and we look forward to developing him over the coming weeks.

Dawn Approach/Raja Lane is an exceptionally good looking colt. He is still learning his trade, so we have given him an educational week of figure of eights and barrier training. The slower paced work will help this colt expand his base fitness, which will give him every chance to succeed down the road. Dawn Approach/Raja Lane ticks all the boxes at this early stage in his preparation.
