Trackwork Thursday 7 September 2017

Misty Lad (Redoute's Choice/Anadan) has done a treat since his first up run and on Thursday morning he was apprentice Rachel King's best of the morning when working over 1200m on the B-grass. He ran home in a steady 12.5 seconds for his final 200m with Rachel commenting, "He was nice and relaxed throughout and ran through the line. He has improvement hugely from the run."

Grand Finalist (Wanted/National Anthem) has been thumping his chest on the track since his recent win and this morning he pleased Rachel when bowling comfortably over 1200m on the B-grass. It was strong, steady work with Rachel reporting, "He is much more switched on since the run and he was full or running past the post." The gelding has now been entered in a 1300m 65 Handicap at Hawkesbury on the 21st of September. Back him.

Wu Zhi Mountain (Pierro/Miss Marx) and Miraculous Moment (Lope De Vega/Moment In Time) were both their respective riders 'Best of the Morning' when partnering each other in a 1200m gallop on the B-grass. Working home over their final 200m in 11.9 seconds, both looked sharp and exceedingly competitive when passing the post matching strides. The pair are fast approaching a trial in the next 10 days.
