Trackwork Thursday 14 September 2017

Global Glamour (Star Witness/Spectacula) has come through her trial in very good order and on Thursday morning she bowled comfortably over 1200m with jockey Brenton Avdulla in the saddle. Working home over her final 200m in 12.3 seconds with Brenton commenting, "It was terrific work. She got into a lovely rhythm and finished off nicely on the bridle." The mare will trial again at Randwick on the 25th of September.

Gold Standard (Sebring/Coniston Gem) has done a treat since his Group 2 win last Saturday and this morning he was jockey Josh Parr's best of the morning when working over 1200m. Josh made the comment, "He has come through the run terrifically well. It was top class work, I can't fault him." The colt will now prepare for the Group 1 Golden Rose over 1400m at Randwick on the 23rd of September.

"Smart Missile/Certain Promise is a surprise package," according to jockey Tom Sadler when working the filly over 600m at three-quarter pace. The filly did the work very nicely within herself with Tom also adding, "She gave me a really nice feel, I like her a lot." The filly is doing everything asked of her at this stage and is fast approaching her first official trial in the coming weeks.

Dee I Cee (Istidaad/Smashed All Night) is heading into the Group 3 Kingston Town Stakes on Saturday in very good order after a solid gallop over 1400m this morning. Brenton partnered the gelding and commented, "It was beautiful work. He's a very happy horse."

"China Gale (Pierro/Rocha) has improved hugely." This is what jockey Tom Sadler reported after working the colt over 1200m this morning alongside his stablemate. Working home over his final 200m in 11.4 seconds, Tom also added, "It was very strong work, I can't fault him." The colt will now debut at Gosford on the 5th of October in the Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap over 1200m.
