Trackwork Thursday 10 August 2017

Debut winner Jessamin (Stratum/Venture) got to the tick from senior rider Ranjeet Singh on Thursday morning when working over 1200m. The 3YO filly is the ultimate professional and just rolls up her sleeves and gets on with the job, running home over her final 200m in 11.4 seconds. Ranjeet commented, "She is improving with each gallop and she gave me a great feel." You will see the filly back at the trials in the next few weeks.

Ugo Foscolo (Zacinto/Bequests) has come through his 8 3/4 length trial win in really great order and this morning he towed senior rider Steve O'Halloran to the line over his final 200m, running home in 10.8 seconds. The gelding worked solidly over 1200m with Steve commenting, "The trial has really brought him on in fitness, he feels terrific." The gelding will trial again in 10 days' time before resuming his spring campaign.

Group 1 placegetter Prompt Response (Beneteau/Prompt) is back in work and feeling better than ever when working solidly over 1200m with senior rider Johnny Livingstone on board. The mare is still a little soft in condition but she's certainly coming to hand nicely and this morning she worked home over her final 200m in a steady 12.7 seconds. She is doing everything right at this stage of her preparation and she is on track to head to the trials in the coming weeks.
