Trackwork Monday 13 October 2017

The team took a handful of horses to Canterbury this morning to gallop on the course proper and the new pro-ride track. The below were this morning's standouts:

ARBEITSAM (Sntzel/Workhard) is going super this preparation, he was the best overall this morning at Canterbury and was jockey Tim Clark's standout of his gallops. The gelding worked over 1200m, clocking a time of 10.8 seconds for his final furlong with Tim commenting, "He is going great. It was a terrific gallop, there was plenty of horse underneath me." The gelding looks to have returned better than ever and he will now head to his first trial this preparation on Thursday at Randwick.

"It was very good work. She is such a genuine mare and I couldn't pull her up past the post." This is what apprentice Rachel King commented on SEDANZER (Sebring/Voltdanze) who worked over 1200m this morning, running home over her final 200m in 11.0 seconds. The mare will head to Rosehill on Saturday to kick off her campaign. She is one to watch.

FALCON ISLAND (Harbour Watch/Strathspey) got the tick of approval from Tim this morning when bowling over 1200m alongside his stablemate. Clocking a time of 12.1 seconds for his final furlong, Tim commented, "He is going very well, I really like this gelding." The son of Harbour Watch heads back to the trials at Randwick on Thursday, after which he will be programmed to race.

BRITZEL (Snitzel/Brandish) pleased jockey Blake Spriggs when bowling over 600m on the new pro-ride track. Galloping alongside his stablemate, the pair picked up over each furlong, running home over their final 200m in 11.6 seconds with Blake commenting, "I really like him. He's very switched on and forward." This son of Snitzel is proving to be something quite special and you will see him at his debut trial in the very near future.
