Trackwork Friday 28 July 2017

Fresh Start (Pierro/Cadazzle) galloped over 5 furlongs with apprentice Rachel King in the saddle. The colt looked an absolute picture and did it very easily with Rachel adding, “He was nice and focused, that was a strong piece of work. His fitness is improving."

Rachel was later on board Antonio’s Pride (Smart Missile/Alalunga) in a gallop over 6 furlongs. The gelding took everything in his stride as he ran the last 200m in 11 seconds. Rachel was very complimentary saying, “He’s a beautiful horse, he gave me a lovely feel and has a very high cruising speed”.

Hear Ye Hear Ye (Street Cry/Hurl) is also another to be nearing a trial as he stepped out over 3 furlongs with senior work rider Steve O’Halloran on board. Steve said, “He has a great attitude, he’s light on his feet for a big horse and he really switched on. I am very happy with his progress."

Poldark (Pentire/Bluegrass) bowled along over 6 furlongs with Tommy Berry. The gelding has come out of his trial impressively and he's in great form as he aims to get back to the races in the 10 days. Tommy was very happy reporting, “He’s really improved and his confidence is sky high".

Sebring Bay (Sebring/Catalan) did a three-quarter pace gallop over 5 furlongs with Ranjeet Singh in the saddle. The filly’s fitness is gradually improving and she looked very comfortable over the 1000 metres with Ranjeet commenting, “She’s getting there. She was more settled today and I am pleased with how she is coming to hand."
