Monday Canterbury Trackwork 9 October 2017

A number of horses, both young and old made their way to Canterbury this morning for a gallop on the Course Proper and the new Poly Track:

The mighty mare ENGLISH (Encosta De Lago/Court) worked stylishly on the Course Proper ahead of the $10 million The Everest on Saturday. She really switched on and focused over the six furlongs, finding the line in excellent order. She recovered well and is peaking just at the right time.

The 2YO Medaglia D'oro/Love To Tell filly was like watching poetry in motion. She loved working on the Poly Track surface and her jockey Adam Hyeronimus commented, "She has a very good idea and a lovely action." All she needs now is a name before she trials in 2 weeks' time.

Another 2YO that really caught the eye was MASTER ASH (Sebring/Hanky Panky). The colt was extremely tractable over the three furlongs and he too loved working on the Poly Track alongside his partner PYRO (Sizzling/Nova). Both colts will head to the trials in approximately 2 weeks' time.

UK import IMPERIAL AVIATOR (Paco Boy/Telescopic) made it look easy this morning gliding over six furlongs with Adam in the saddle. He needs plenty of distance this gelding but he will resume his campaign over the mile at Randwick on the 21st.
