Trackwork Wednesday 27 September 2017

2YO son of Choisir, NORTHERN VOYAGE (ex Scared Voyage) received a glowing report from senior rider Steve O'Halloran this morning when working over 600m at three-quarter pace. The colt looked terrific bowling over the 3 furlongs with Steve commenting, "It was very good work. He knows what he's doing and is a very professional colt." We have high hopes for Northern Voyage, he has already shown very nice ability on the track and he's fast approaching a trial this preparation. He's one to keep your eye on over Christmas.

EPIC RANT (Snitzel/Air's Precious) has come through his first up run in terrific order and was senior rider Steve O'Halloran's best of the morning when gliding over 1200m. Running home over his final 200m in 10.8 seconds, Steve made the comment, "It was really good work. I can't fault him." The colt will be back at the races in the next 10 days.

Another horse who has done extremely well since their first up run is RED ZEPHYR (Snitzel/Red Typhoon) who received a very positive report from jockey Adam Hyeronimus when working over 1000m. Finishing his work in 11.1 seconds for his final furlong, Adam made the comment, "It was exceptionally good work. He's flying." The colt will head back to the races in 10 days' time.

The little pocket rocket, MADONNICA (Snitzel/Donnica) was apprentice Rachel King's best this morning when working over 1000m alongside her stablemate. She flew home over her final furlong in 11.3 seconds with Rachel commenting, "She is going great and has done a treat since her recent trial. She's ready to go." The filly is preparing for her first up run in 2 weeks' time.
