Trackwork Wednesday 17 January 2018

Apprentice Rachel King's best this morning was the newly gelded son of Not A Single Doubt, End Of The Road (ex Strawberry Girl) when working over 1200m on the dirt track. Clocking a time of 11.3 seconds for his final furlong, Rachel made the comment, "It was very good work. He relaxed nicely and was strong through the line."

Our Japanese import, Bag Raider (Bago/Our Oasis) has returned to the stable having been gelded since arriving to Australia and he bowled solidly over 1200m this morning with work rider Ben James in the saddle. It was a comfortable gallop with the gelding cruising to the line in 13 seconds for his final furlong. It's still early days but he is an exciting stayer in the making.

2YO colt Ulusaba (Exceed And Excel/Mabsam) was apprentice Lulu Stanford's best this morning when working over 800m alongside his stablemate. Clocking a time of 11.1 seconds with Lulu commenting, "I really like him. He kept extending right to the line and finished off well." The colt has been pencilled in for his debut at Gosford on the 30th of January.

Stakes winner Setsuna (Choisir/Longoria) has returned to the stable in very good order and this morning she commenced pace work over 800m. It was comfortable, steady work with the filly clocking a time of 13.5 seconds for her final 200 metres. She looks sensational in preparation for her return to the races this preparation and we are looking forward to getting her back to the track.
