Trackwork Tuesday 1 May 2018

"BROADSIDE (Raise The Flag/Anam Cara) feels good and is a happy horse," according to apprentice Rachel King when working the gelding over 1200m this morning. He is really thriving this preparation and will be seen back at the track at the very near future.

The beautifully bred LONG TIME AGO (Redoute's Choice/Once Were Wild) is coming along beautifully this preparation and has come through her trial well according to Rachel when working the mare over 1200m on the B grass. Running home in 12.2 seconds for her final furlong, Rachel commented, "She feels great and is moving well." She will head back to the trials in the next 7 days, after which she will be programmed to run.

The 1/2 sister to Sunlight, SHEIKHA (Sebring/Solar Charged) was "nice and relaxed" this morning when bowling over 1000m on the B grass for Rachel. Clocking her final furlong in 12.1 seconds, Rachel also added, "She feels great in her action and did that well in herself." This filly has always shown plenty of ability and she looks to have returned this preparation better than ever ready to improve on her Stakes placed rating.

The full brother to Sebring, MAYBACH (More Than Ready/Purespeed) was apprentice Quayde Krogh's best this morning when working over 800m on the B grass with his stablemate. The pair ran home in 12.4 seconds for their final furlong with Quayde commenting, "He is a nice, strong colt and did that really well in himself." The colt still has improvement to come in his fitness but he is certainly doing everything right. We are very much looking forward to seeing him progress further this preparation and is one to look out.
