Trackwork Thursday January 2018

PROMPT RESPONSE (Beneteau/Prompt) has come through her recent trial in super order and this morning she was apprentice Rachel King's best when working over 1200m. Clocking a time of 12.4 seconds for her final furlong, Rachel made the comment, "She is doing it very easily in herself, she feels terrific." The mare will head back to the trials at Randwick on Monday.

GLOBAL GLAMOUR (Star Witness/Spectacula) has travelled back from Queensland well and this morning she was senior rider Steve O'Halloran's best when bowling comfortably over 1200m. The mare relaxed beautifully throughout with Steve commenting, "She felt really good. I can't fault her."

SETSUNA (Choisir/Longoria) continues to thrive this preparation and this morning jockey Brenton Avdulla partnered the filly in a solo gallop over 800m. Clocking a time of 11.5 seconds for her final furlong, Brenton made the comment, "She is all class this filly, she did that with ease." Setsuna will be seen back at the trials in the very near future.

Brenton was glowing in his report on the son of Snitzel, LENINGRAD (ex Loveday) this morning when galloping the colt over 1200m. Running home in 11.5 seconds for his final furlong, Brenton reported, "I really like him. He's a strong galloper and finished off very well." The colt will have his first trial this preparation at Randwick on Monday.
