Trackwork Thursday 7 June 2018

WOMAN (Frankel/More Joyous) is coming up beautifully this preparation and this morning she cruised around the dirt over 1200m on a rain affected track. Apprentice Rachel King was aboard and was delighted with how the daughter of Frankel felt, giving her the thumps up. The filly is still a touch soft but she is certainly heading in the right direction.

Apprentice Quayde Krogh was very happy with his mount, WE HAVE LIFT OFF (Exceed And Excel/Houston Benefactor) when working the filly over 1000m solo. Clocking a time of 12.5 seconds for her final furlong on a rain affected track, Quayde stated, "I am very happy with her. She handled the ground with ease and is very forward." The filly will be seen at the trials at Randwick on Tuesday.

Rachel was too very happy with Sebring's full brother, MAYBACH (More Than Ready/Purespeed) when working the colt over 800m on the B-grass alongside his stablemate. The pair clocked their final furlong in 12.6 seconds with Rachel adding, "That was very strong work, he was focused all the way. I am really happy with him." Maybach will too be seen at the trials at Randwick on Tuesday.
