Trackwork Thursday 20 July 2017

Arbeitsam (Snitzel/Workhard) was desperately unlucky not to win on Saturday at Rosehill, and showed no ill effects from that run as he strode out this morning over 6 furlongs. The colt cruised around with race day pilot Adam Hyeronimus on board, finishing the last 200m in 12.9 seconds. Adam said, “He’s in terrific form, that was a great piece of work and I am very happy with him”.

Adam also partnered the Group 3 winning entire Stampede (High Chaparral/Nothin’ Leica Cat) as he galloped on the dirt over 6 furlongs. The 4yo is fast approaching a trial in the coming weeks with Adam commenting, “He was very good, nice and relaxed in his work. He was my best this morning”.

Sweet Redemption (Snitzel/Redeeming Lass) galloped over 6 furlongs with jockey Glyn Schofield in the saddle. The mare bowled around nicely and ran home over her final 200m in 12.1 seconds with Glyn reporting, “She feels so strong, that was a smart piece of work and she’s a lovely mare."

Another approaching a trial date is End Of The Road (Not A Single Doubt/Strawberry Girl). The colt worked over 5 furlongs with Kerrin McEvoy on board and looked much more settled in his work. Kerrin was very complementary saying, “That was brilliant, he moved well and feels ready to trial."

We also worked a number of the yearlings this morning. One that particularly stood out was the Epaulette/Blue Note colt who breezed over 3 furlongs with senior work rider Steve O’Halloran on board. The good looking bay colt is all quality and Steve was raving about him upon dismounting commenting, “He’s a very impressive colt. He gives you a great feel and is very professional. He’s very forward and I like him a lot." The colt will be aimed at the first 2YO trials in September.
