CHINA GALE (Pierro/Rocha) is heading into Saturday's race at Newcastle in fine form and on Thursday morning he was Steve O'Halloran's best when working over 1200m. Running home over his final 200m in 11.9 seconds, Steve made the comment, "It was very good work. He bowled around well and was full of running."

"DELOS (Makfi/Asterie) feels great," according to jockey Brenton Avdulla as the gelding prepares to get back to the races at Wyong on Sunday. He worked alongside his stablemate and was exceedingly competitive, running home over his final 200m in a very steady 12.7 seconds with Brenton also adding, "He is a happy horse, I can't fault him." The gelding has been very consistent in his last two starts and he looks the one to beat on Sunday over the mile.

The mighty FABRIZIO (High Chaparral/Desina) was Brenton's best this morning when bowling over 7 furlongs. Brenton simple commented, "The big Fab was just that, fab. The trial has really brought him on," working to the line in 11.9 seconds over his final furlong. The gelding will trial again at Wyong on Monday, after which he will be programmed to run.

Debut winner CUBAN SIZZLE (Teofilo/Dshizzl) has come through her run in sensational order and this was confirmed by apprentice Rachel King this morning when working the filly over 1200m. Running home over her final furlong in a steady 12.7 seconds, Rachel made the comment, "It was really good work. She has switched on nicely since the run and is bouncing out of her skin." She will now head back to the races at Canterbury on the 27th.
