Trackwork Thursday 15 March 2018

The Group 2 winning daughter of Savabeel, SAVAPINSKI (ex Swarovski) has returned in terrific order this preparation and today she pleased senior rider Steve O'Halloran when bowling over 1200m. Although she is still a touch soft, she completed her final furlong in a steady 12.5 seconds with Steve commenting, "She feels great and is coming to hand really well." Expect to see her back at the track in the coming weeks.

"PYRO (Sizzling/Nova) is ready to go," according to jockey Katelyn Mallyon when working over 1000m this morning. Clocking his final furlong in 11.5 seconds, the colt looks set to perform well on debut next week when he heads to Newcastle on Thursday over the 1400 metres.

OUR JOYEUX (O'Reilly/Escada) has done a treat since his trial recent trial and this morning put in a solid gallop over 1200m with Katelyn aboard. Clocking his final 200 metres in 11.4 seconds, Katelyn reported, "It was great work. He is really feeling well and pulled up bouncing out of his skin." The 6yo gelding is set to have his debut run in Australia in the next 10 days. Stay tuned.
