Trackwork Monday 5 February 2018

"PENSKE (Sebring/Princess Natural) feels great," according to senior rider Steve O'Halloran when working over 1200m on the B-grass solo this morning. Clocking a time of 11.5 seconds for his final furlong, Steve also added, "He wants to get on with things, he feels great." The gelding is fast approaching his first trial back this preparation.

The daughter of Beneteau, HUSSTERICAL (ex Hussterics) was apprentice Rachel King's best this morning when bowling over 1000m at three-quarter pace solo. It was good strong work with Rachel commenting, "She feels great and did that easily in herself." It is still early days but the filly is doing everything right and looks to have returned in very good order.

STAR OF NEW YORK (Manhattan Rain/Charlety Star) continues to progress really well this preparation and this morning he got the tick from Steve when working over 1000m on the B-grass alongside his stablemate. Clocking a time of 11.5 seconds for his final furlong, Steve commented, "It was very good work. He got into a lovely rhythm and pulled up having a blow." The gelding is still not there yet in his fitness but he's coming to hand really well and is close to a return to the trials this time in.
