Trackwork Monday 23 April 2018

The son of Snitzel, COONAWARRA (ex Roses 'N' Wine) was jockey Adam Hyeronimus' best this morning when working over 1200m on the dirt. Clocking a very slick time of 10.9 seconds for his final furlong, Adam made the comment, "I am very happy with him, he's close to trialling this time in." The gelding has returned in terrific order this preparation and will be seen at the trials in the very near future.

JUST A JOKE (High Chaparral/Fiction) has really come ahead in the last 10 days and got the tick from jockey Josh Parr this morning when bowling over 1200m. Working alongside his stablemate, the pair clocked a time of 11.4 seconds for their final furlong with Josh commenting, "It was very strong work and was his best gallop this preparation." The gelding has been nominated to race either on Wednesday at Gosford or Kembla Grange on Thursday. Stay tuned.

BACHELOR DUKE/AVE MAREE too pleased Josh this morning when bowling steadily over 800m with his partner. The pair ran home in 13 seconds with Josh commenting, "It is still early days but he is a lovely, big horse with a really nice action and he did that well in himself. He has plenty of time on his side but he's doing it all with ease at this stage." We purchased this colt from the Karaka Breeze Up Sale at the end of last year and is your Derby/Guineas hopeful!
