Trackwork Friday 29 September 2017

CISTMONTANE (High Chaparral/Viviane) has returned to Sydney after a successful stint in Flemington and this morning he put in a strong piece of work under jockey Tim Clark. Bowling over 1400m on the dirt track, he quickened up the home straight in good style to run the last 200m in 11.8 seconds with Tim commenting, “That was very good work. He back on his Randwick leg already and was my best of the morning.” The gelding will trial at Rosehill on Tuesday for a freshen up, after which he can head back to the races.

Jockey Tom Sadler was aboard MANHATTAN VIXEN (Manhattan Rain/Vivid Vixen) as the mare cruised around the dirt track over 1000m. She looked very comfortable as she cruised home the last 200m in 11.5 seconds with Tom reporting, “That was nice work, she had plenty in reserve past the post." The filly is nearing a trial this preparation.

Apprentice Rachel King partnered POTENTATE (Fastnet Rock/Goody Two Shoes) and stablemate STARVINO (All American/Sylvaner) with Tim Clark worked over 1200m. The pair travelled well before sprinting up the home straight to run the last 200m in 11.9 seconds with Rachel commenting, “That was very good work, he was very focused today and his fitness is getting there. He was my best of the morning.” Tim commented on his mount, "He is still soft but was very competitive next to his partner."

British import IMPERIAL AVIATOR (Paco Boy/Telescopic) with Tom Sadler on board galloped over 1400m. The gelding breezed around strongly, getting into a good rhythm before skipping up the home straight to record the last 200m in 11.6 seconds. Tom reported, “He finished off the gallop well. The further the better for him as he was doing his best work past the post.” The gelding will trial on Tuesday at Rosehill, after which he will be programmed to run. Stay tuned.
