Trackwork Friday 12 May 2017

It was a relatively quiet morning but there were a few nice standouts:

Lavender Hill (I Am Invincible/Faker (NZ)) worked a treat with jockey Keagan Latham in the saddle this morning. Galloping over 1200m, she came home in 11.2 seconds. It's still early days but she is certainly heading in the right direction and is fast approaching a trial this preparation.

Mirebeau (Al Maher/Misstari (NZ)) was jockey Johan Victoire's best this morning. The 3YO gelding galloped strongly over 1000m, running home over his final 200m in 12.2 seconds. Like his stablemate Lavender Hill, it is still early days but it won't be long before he is back at the trials.

2YOs Thinkin' So (So You Think (NZ)/Camille's Appeal (USA)) and Cuban Sizzle (Teofilo (IRE)/Dshizzl) paired up to work over 600m. The fillies ran over the last 200m in 11.9 seconds. They were relaxed and focused throughout and are improving nicely this preparation.

Also impressing this morning were 2YO fillies Mahjong Rose (Snitzel/Rose of Montana), Maui Princess (Sepoy/Tropicana Girl) and Maid Marilyn (Stratum/Longlea). The trio bowled over 800m and finished up strongly on the line. They are coming along nicely and will be ones to watch as they edge closer to trials in the coming weeks.
