By the same sire as Group 1 winner THE QUARTERBACK and Hong Kong Triple Crown winner, RAPPER DRAGON, this colt was one of the physical standouts of the entire sale, an out and out speed colt. He hails from the family of multiple Group 1 winners SAVABEEL and BLACK HEART BART and will go early.

Lot 622 - Deep Field/Combat Kitty Purchased for $250,000



A very athletic individual – this colt reminded me so much of his grand sire, NORTHERN METEOR, who I trained to win the Group 1 Coolmore Stakes. I trained more of his Group 1 winning progeny than any other trainer and I expect to do the same with his son DEEP FIELD.

Choisir was a dual hemisphere Group 1 winner and an international legend on the racetrack. This colt was exceptional value with only 2 dams on the page with the granddam, FLAMING MAGIC a Stakes winner and producer with 10 foals to race, ALL WINNERS. This colt has speed & precocity written all over him and I was really impressed with what I saw from the progeny of first season sire El Roca at the sale. I love the progeny of Sebring. They ooze class and versatility and this colt really took my eye when I saw him at the sales. He is athletic, his mother is an Encosta De Lago 7 x winning mare, one of which was at Stakes level and she hails from the family of Group 1 & Group 2 winner, SWISS ACE.





Lot 667 - Deep Field/Disclosure Purchased for $140,000



This colt is all SPEED! His sire, Deep Field is one of the fastest sprinters we have seen at stud in recent times and his dam sire, Fastnet Rock has been responsible for producing some of Australia’s best sprinters. We expect to see him early in his two-year-old career.

I wasn’t going to leave the sale without my very own Rubick and this colt ticked all the right boxes.





Lot 616 - Dissident/City Of Song Purchased for $200,000



There is so much to like about this son of Horse of the Year and Champion Sprinter Dissident, out of the 5 x winning precocious Bel Esprit mare, City Of Song. He has great bone, size and he looks a runner. If he is half as tough as his dad was and as early as his mother, he’ll be a serious colt.

Lot 313 - Snitzel/Simply Spiteful Purchased for $260,000



By the sire on fire Snitzel, out of the Speightstown American Stakes winning mare, Simply Spiteful. This filly has lovely presence, a beautiful US pedigree and plenty of residual value. Take one look at Snitzel's statistics and you will quickly realise that he is the most dominant stallion of recent times and this filly was terrific value.





Lot 256 - Pierro/Rose Of Sharon Purchased for $240,000



This is one for the ladies! This filly is by Coolmore’s hottest freshman sire, Pierro, out of the Encosta De Lago mare, Group 1 placed mare Rose Of Sharon. The dam is a ½ sister to 8 x winner LOTTERIA, 6 of those were at Stakes level including the Group 1 VRC Myer Classic & Group 1 AJC Flight Stakes. The next Pinot perhaps?

By a sire I know like the back of my hand, Sebring continuously breeds tough and versatile horses and this filly has just that written all over her. This filly has ‘CLASSICS’ stamped all over her. She is by the great Medaglia D’Oro who sired one of the greats in RACHEL ALEXANDRA who was Horse of the Year at three and the best 3yo filly since the 1970s. Seventeen G1 winners so far, including G1 Golden Slipper hero VANCOUVER and Champion American filly SONGBIRD while his latest stars include G1 Golden Rose hero ASTERN and G1 Jenny Wiley Stakes winner Dickinson in America –WOW.

You can’t go wrong with the progeny of Pierro and this filly was an absolute ‘must have’. She has a pedigree to die for being STREAMA's second foal. Streama is a 10 x winning daughter of Stratum, 4 of which were at Group 1 level and 5 at Group 2 level and she acculmulated over $2.6 million on the racetrack. This filly is also from the family of Top Colt on the Australasian 2YO Classification, DECISION TIME.

There was a lot to like about Deep Field’s progeny at the sale but this filly in particular really took my eye. She has great bone, plenty of size and scope and she handled the sales like a real professional. Her dam is a Stakes producer and is the ½ sister to dual Stakes winner CONTINUUM.
