| Great morning at Randwick with lots of jockeys on hand and everyone was in a buoyant mood. Carnival time and all the stables are happy as the best horses are out and gracing our tracks. Tim Clark is coming to ride one morning a week as is Daniel Ganderton. Tim was delighted with Autumn Ember saying, "she had a good blow but deserved to after bowling solidly over 1400m. She wanted to go a bit keen early but Gai she really finished the work off very strongly." King's Admiral and Catanooga slogged it out over 1400m with the latter improving daily with her extra workload. The Admiral is still in whale-like condition and had a huge blow but never shirked his duty finding the line in workman fashion. I like the way Just a Blaze our cups chance is coming up. Aren't all potential stayers cup hopes? He worked solo so I placed him in blinkers. Nash said he has a super stride. Star Thoroughbreds Katsura races next Thursday at Wyong and she has settled down remarkably well with Neil declaring her his second best of the morning. Pictures of You was Daniel's best and with the blinkers on she found the line strongly and will be hard-to-beat at Kembla next Sunday. Rockwood is working comfortably over 1200m and is on the comeback trail in preparation for a Queensland campaign. Supertrooper, Tim felt had definitely improved since his trial still but is still soft. Tim said he feels like a middle distance horse. Remember this son of Rock of Gibraltar is out of the Australian 2yo champ Hasna. The Zabeel/On Type that Singo and John Doherty own in partnership has jumped out of the ground. Tiger Tantrum and Sahara Shamal have returned to the stables. Both fillies start off great and then tend to fall to pieces by the time they're ready to go to the races. Let's hope they can hold together for a race preparation. Older than Time produced a rousing gallop and is on target for her debut run at Newcastle on Saturday. Distant and Lovely and Fictional Romance were a lovely pair which Neil and Tim partnered with both jocks commenting how they were both very bad kickers - claiming one victim on the way out onto the track. Two superbly bred fillies are Wychette - Redoute's Choice/Elevenses and No Choice - Redoute's Choice/Get Around. Quite amusing the naming of No Choice with Rob Dulhunty and his group explaining how they could not sell her at two different sales and consequently after deciding to race her themselves thought the name very appropriate. We all know yearling inspectors can at times end up with egg on their faces and so I hope for Rob and his group she turns out be a champion. Essence of Time and Show Dancer really pleased me. Both are very similar types being relaxed stayers. Manahara who races in a much easier event on Thursday, Nash said was terrific when wearing blinkers this morning. The colt was extremely focused in coming home his last 200m in 11.2s. Dreams and Desires and the Star Thoroughbreds Maskhara has come back much more focused and stronger. The Flying Spur/Sarah De Belle almost falls asleep she is so relaxed which seems to be a trait of the progeny. Lord Drinkard, purchased from the Melbourne sale last year is a lovely type who is coming to hand well. Craig gave Knoxville a lovely comment when he said, "He's very special and won't take long to come to hand." Steve partnered Light Brigade and said he might be better working in blinkers as he's a bit of a worry wart. Extreme Mover and Teardrop Rock were a great pair whilst Joy Toy, Our Pick, Tabassi are all owned by formidable owners in the industry - Singo Stuart Ramsey and John Hassler. Interesting to see how these three fillies progress and who will be winning their workouts.
