Worth The Wait

Our Artie Schiller x Vivid ’16 filly is an elegant, feminine type and she has done an absolute treat this preparation, so much so, she is ready to trial.

Bred by Emirates Park and bought for $150,000 from the draft of Aquis Farm at the Magic Millions Yearling Sale last year, this filly has taken time to fully mature as we expected, but we have been patient with her and it has paid dividends, she has developed into the most beautiful filly.

Our most senior rider rode Artie Schiller x Vivid on Saturday morning over 800 metres and reported, “She is a very nice filly and towed me all the way through the line. She has really strengthened this time in. She gave me a great feel and was easily my best of the morning.”

Artie Schiller was an America sensation and the winner of the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Mile Stakes. The son of Champion USA Sire, El Prado, out of the dual Group 1 winning mare, Hidden Light, Artie Schiller was bred for success at the highest level.

Gai has tasted her own success with this sire having trained Laser Hawk (Artie Schiller x High Heels) to Group 1 glory. Bred and owned by Gooree Park Stud, the gelding was placed at Group 1 level in just his fourth career start before beating the eventual Group 1 Caulfield Cup and Group 1 Cox Plate winner and now sire, Ocean Park when victorious in the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas back in 2012.

More recently, Artie Schiller sired the 2016 stallion-making Group 1 Coolmore Stakes winner and the World Champion 3YO Sprinter, Flying Artie who now stands at Newgate Stud.

There has never been a better opportunity to race a horse in NSW with the significant prizemoney that is currently on offer, and it is only going to get better. You don’t have to wait long for the fun to start. This filly is ready to go and will trial in the next 10 days. She is inexpensive and shares are very limited.
