Trial Watch

We had a lovely group of horses step out at the Rosehill trials this morning.

Penske (Sebring/Princess Natural) couldn't have been more impressive this morning. Jockey Adam Hyeronimus was in the saddle and commented, "He was very good this morning. He jumped well, cross them easily, relaxed in front and bowled along in a lovely rhythm. When I asked him for an effort in the straight, he picked up and found the line well. He's fit and ready to return to the races."  Penske is now on track to head to the races with his plans yet to be confirmed.

It was a terrific return to the trials from Newshound (Written Tycoon/Annonay)this morning. She has always shown good ability and she has returned much bigger and stronger this preparation. Jockey Tim Clark , who was aboard for the effort commented, "She showed nice speed and responded each time I asked her to. She has definitely improved this preparation."  Newshound will return to the trials in approximately two weeks' time as she edges closer to her race debut.

Cock Match (Zoffany/Danish Dollar) also put in an eye catching performance in his trial this morning, the gelding has returned stronger than ever. Jockey Tim Clark, who partnered him  commented, "He went very well. He has definitely improved since last preparation, he's so much more tractable and sensible. He's always had plenty of ability, he's just starting to piece it all together now. He's ready to go to the races."  Cock Match is right on track to return to the races in the 3 Year Old Maiden over 1250 metres at Canterbury on 11th September.
