Trackwork Wednesday 29th January 2020

Evening Slippers (Snitzel/Flidais) is working well and this morning she galloped over 800 metres on the steeple grass. Ridden by work rider Alana Pearson, she clocked 12.1 seconds over the final 200 metres and Alana said, "She wasn’t as relaxed on the grass, but it was her first outing on it and she improved as the gallop progressed. She’s coming along well in her fitness though and she’s coming up nicely." We are pleased with this filly and it’s not unusual for her to be keen at times. She’s taken this step up to full pace work in her stride though and we will continue to bring her along and tap away at her fitness levels before sending her to a trial.

Newshound (Written Tycoon/Annonay) is working well and this morning she galloped over 1200 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Castel Sant’angelo (Pierro/Lucky Angel). Ridden by jockey Quayde Krogh, she clocked 12 seconds over the final 200 metres and Quayde said, "She worked well and the further we went, the better she felt." We are pleased with this filly and she continues to make progress off the back of her second trial. We will get her to a third trial in the next 7-10 days before then programming her to race.

The Lifeline (Pierro/Princess Quality) is working well and this morning he galloped over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Jewelled Princess (Hallowed Crown/Zutara). Ridden by work rider Alana Pearson, he clocked 12.1 seconds over the final 200 metres and Alana said, "He worked well today, and he gave me a lovely feel." We are very pleased with this gelding and he’s taken this step up to full pace work in his stride. He’s come out of Friday’s jumpout very sharp and focussed, and we will continue to tap away at his fitness before he heads to a trial.

Dorothy Of Oz (Redoute's Choice/Princess Coup) is working well and this morning she completed three quarter pacework over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Pierro Rose (Pierro/Rose Of Sharon). Ridden by jockey Tim Clark, she clocked 11.9 seconds over the final 200 metres and Tim said, "She worked well today. She pulled up having a good blow and she will improve a lot from this." We are pleased with her progress and it’s no surprise that she had a good blow, as she’s come back to us with plenty of condition this preparation. She’s coming along nicely though, and we will continue to tap away at her fitness and condition with her gallops and plenty of swimming, too.
