Trackwork Wednesday 15th January 2020

Respectful (Excelebration/Polite) has settled back in well to her surroundings at Tulloch Lodge and she spent her first week gently trotting and cantering on the track. This morning she completed pace work at three quarter speed over 800 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Raj Kumar, she clocked 13.6 seconds over the final 200 metres and Raj was very happy with how she travelled today, saying the filly gave him a lovely feel. It's only the beginning stages of her preparation, but we are very happy with her. She is a beautiful filly and she's returned to us looking a picture. We will continue to bring her along slowly as we gradually increase the tempo of her gallops.

The First Ring (Olympic Glory/Ballet Blue) is working well and this morning he completed pace work at three quarter speed over 800 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Cory Jones, he clocked 13.4 seconds over the final 200 metres and Cory was thrilled by how well the gelding felt, saying that he travelled strongly on the bridle to the line. We are very happy with him and he’s doing everything we are asking of him at this stage. We are doing plenty of treadmill work with him too to help him shed some condition and build muscle in his hind quarters. We will continue to bring him along gently as we gradually increase the tempo of his gallops.

Vivid Art (Artie Schiller/Vivid) is working well and this morning she completed pace work at three quarter speed over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Dazzling Damsel (Not A Single Doubt/Tingirana). Ridden by work rider Blake Paine, she clocked 14.3 seconds over the final 200 metres and Blake said that she worked really well today. She relaxed nicely and travelled strongly on the bridle to the line and they were a great pair together. We are very pleased with her and she is doing everything with ease at this early stage.
