Trackwork Tuesday 19th May 2020

Sole Heir (Exceed And Excel/Comical Smile) is working well and this morning he galloped over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate So United (So You Think/Maglissa). Ridden by jockey Tim Clark, he clocked 11.9 seconds over the final 200 metres and Tim said, "He worked well today. He was relaxed early before being competitive to the line and he’s ready to go." We are pleased with this colt and he's certainly taken some further benefit from his latest trial, and he’s improved in his fitness. He’s still on target to reappear in the 2-Year-Old Colts & Geldings’ Maiden Handicap over 1250 metres at Canterbury on 27th May and we are looking forward to seeing him back on the track.

Mr Dependable (Reliable Man/La Grande Dame) is working well and this morning he galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by jockey Tim Clark, he clocked 12.3 seconds over the final 200 metres and Tim said, "That was lovely work. He was very settled in the early stages and he found the line well late on." We are delighted with this gelding and he's also taken great benefit from his second trial, and he’s a lot fitter and sharper now. He’s on target for the Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1300 metres at Rosehill on 30th May and we can't wait for this exciting gelding to be back at the races.

Statuesquely (Medaglia D'Oro/Fonssagrives) is working well and this morning she galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Ranj Singh, she clocked 11.5 seconds over the final 200 metres and Ranj said, "She was very good today and she quickened impressively to be strong through the line." This mare continues to delight us and she's coming up very nicely after her second trial last week. She’s pencilled in for next week’s Fillies & Mares’ Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1400 metres at Rosehill on 30th May, and we also have the option of holding her over until the following week for the Fillies & Mares’ Benchmark 78 Handicap over 1200 metres at Randwick on 6th June. Either way, she's in store for another productive preparation and we can't wait to see her back racing again.
