Trackwork Thursday 21st May 2020

Cicero Field (Deep Field/Ubiquity) is working well and this morning she galloped over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Triskana (Redoute’s Choice/Piste Noire). Ridden by work rider Kacie Adams, she clocked 11.2 seconds over the final 200 metres and Kacie said, "That was lovely work. She was focused throughout and strong to the line for me." We are delighted with this filly and she's come through last week's lovely first trial performance in great shape. She has improved in her fitness and she's sharper with that experience under her belt. The next set of trials are on Tuesday but we prefer to give our horses two weeks between trials so we will assess her before deciding if she heads there or if she waits for the next set.

Faretti (I Am Invincible/Tai Tai Tess) is working well and this morning he galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by jockey Quayde Krogh, he clocked 11.1 seconds over the final 200 metres and Quayde said, "That was very strong work and he was focused and sharp in the blinkers." We are delighted with him and he's come out of his first up run in terrific shape. He's fitter and sharper with that run under his belt and he’s pencilled in for both the Class 1 Handicap over 1500 metres at Newcastle on 26th May and the Class 1 Handicap over 1400 metres at Kembla on 30th May, and he will be hard to beat wherever he races.

Vienna Rain (Manhattan Rain/Vienna Lady) is working well and this morning he galloped solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Vanessa Grant, he clocked 11.7 seconds over the final 200 metres and Vanessa said, "That was very good work. He was very settled in the early stages and he found the line well." We are delighted with this gelding and he's certainly taken great benefit from his third trial, and he's a lot fitter and sharper now. He's on target for the 3-Year-Old Benchmark 66 Handicap over 1250 metres at Canterbury on 27th May and we can't wait to see this flashy chestnut back at the races.
