Trackwork Thursday 17th September 2020

Mr Dependable (Reliable Man/La Grande Dame) has been in training for three weeks and this morning he completed three quarter pacework solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Raj Kumar, he clocked 14.4 seconds over the final 200 metres and Raj said, "That was lovely work and he was nicely on the bridle throughout.” We are very pleased with him and he’s continuing to come up well at this stage of his preparation. He’s swimming in the afternoons to help him shed some excess condition and tone up, and we will continue to gradually increase the intensity of his gallops.

Lancer (Sepoy/Romincka) is working well and this morning he galloped solo over 1200 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by jockey Tim Clark, he clocked 11.1 seconds over the final 200 metres and Tim said, "He’s still a little soft, but he’s getting there.” This gelding is pleasing us and as Tim says, he’s still improving in his fitness despite having had two trials. He’s on target for a third trial next week, which should put him spot on for a return to the races.

Total Babe (I Am Invincible/In Style) has been in training for seven weeks and this morning she galloped over 600 metres on the B grass alongside stablemate Excela Bella (Exceed And Excel/Caraveli). Ridden by jockey Quayde Krogh, she clocked 12 seconds over the final 200 metres and Quayde said, “That was nice work. She travelled well with her partner and worked into it strongly from the home turn to be competitive to the line.” We are delighted with this filly and she’s come out of Friday’s jumpout in wonderful order. She showed us all the right signs today that she’s ready to go, and she’s therefore on target for the official 2-year-old trials at Randwick on Monday. We can't wait to see how she gets on.
