Trackwork Monday 1st June 2020

Gundy Bridge (I Am Invincible/Bareena) has settled back in well to his surroundings at Tulloch Lodge and he spent his first few days gently trotting and cantering on the track. This morning he completed three quarter pacework solo over 600 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Deepu Shanker, he clocked 14.5 seconds over the final 200 metres and Deepu said, "That was a nice piece of work. He was enthusiastic but he relaxed well once we got into a rhythm and he really enjoyed his work." It's only the very beginning stages of his preparation, but we are pleased with this colt and he's taking everything in his stride. He’s returned to us in wonderful order, and we will continue to bring him along gently before we gradually increase the tempo of his gallops.

Elveena (Hinchinbrook/Elwaaryaa) has been in training for three weeks and this morning she completed three quarter pacework over 800 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Splendiferous (Pride Of Dubai/Magical Mist). Ridden by work rider Swan Holzritter, she clocked 14.7 seconds over the final 200 metres and Swan said, "She was in a lovely rhythm today and she worked consistently on the bridle to the line." We are very happy with this lovely filly and she handled the step up in distance today without a bother. She showed us a lot of promise in her previous preparation and we can't wait to watch her progress this time in.

Van Gogh (Vancouver/Light Touch) has settled back in well to his surroundings at Tulloch Lodge and he spent his first few days gently trotting and cantering on the track. This morning he completed three quarter pacework over 600 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Gascoyne (Fighting Sun/Gina Lollawitcha). Ridden by work rider Deepu Shanker, he clocked 13.8 seconds over the final 200 metres and Deepu said, "That was a nice piece of work. He was focused and professional and he worked consistently on the bridle to the line." This gelding has returned to us in wonderful order and losing his manhood appears to have done him the world of good. He's filling out his frame nicely and we are looking forward to the preparation ahead.
