Trackwork Monday 14th September 2020

Fiery Red (Pierro/Blazing Snitzel) has settled back in well to his surroundings at Tulloch Lodge and he spent his first week gently trotting and cantering on the track. This morning he completed three quarter pacework over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Rule The World (Hallowed Crown/Pay Off Now). Ridden by apprentice Brandon Griffiths, he clocked 14.5 seconds over the final 200 metres and Brandon said, "He relaxed well and bowled along comfortably alongside ." It's only the very beginning stages of his preparation, but we are pleased with this gelding and he's taking everything in his stride. He's returned to us in wonderful shape, his coat has a real gleam to it and he appears to have taken great benefit from his time in the paddock. We will continue to bring him along gently before we gradually increase the tempo of his gallops.

Nelspruit (Zoustar/Too Discreet) has been in training for three weeks and this morning he completed three quarter pacework solo over 1000 metres on the polytrack. Ridden by work rider Kacie Adams, he clocked 13.8 seconds over the final 200 metres and Kacie said, "He was very good today. He bowled along comfortably and gave me a lovely feel to the line.” We are very pleased with his progress and he’s coming up nicely at this early stage. His fitness is coming along, and he’s continuing to work on the treadmill as well as swim in the pool each afternoon to help him shed some excess condition and tone up.

Addison Reserve (Scissor Kick/Balance Of Nature) has been in training for four weeks and this morning she completed three quarter pacework over 1000 metres on the polytrack alongside stablemate Too Much Caviar (All Too Hard/More Caviar). Ridden by apprentice Stacey Metcalfe, she clocked 13.6 seconds over the final 200 metres and Stacey said, "She relaxed well for me and the further she went, the better she felt and she pulled up in good order.” She continues to please us and she’s starting to take shape and tighten up nicely in condition. We’ll continue to give her some further low-grade work before increasing the intensity of her gallops.
