Trackwork Monday 11th November 2019

It was a busy start to the week this morning with plenty of horses out on the polytrack at Randwick.

Abiding (Not A Single Doubt/Gold Letter)  put in a fantastic gallop. Working solo over 800 metres at three quarter pace, he clocked 12.4 seconds over the final 200 metres and rated as jockey Rory Hutchings's Best of the Morning.  He relaxed beautofully and was very strong over the concluding stages through the line. He has not been back with us for too long but he is in wonderful order and we couldn't be happier with him at this stage of his preparation.

Battle Guardian (Fighting Sun/Devils Arcade) is a strapping gelding and this morning he galloped over 1000 metres at three quarter pace alongisde stablemate Chief Geronimo (More Than Ready/The Warrior Woman). Ridden by work rider Alana Pearson, he clocked 13.6 seconds over the final 200 metres and I was very pleased with what I saw. He relaxed nicely and was competitive with his partner over the final 100 metres, finishing strongly. He is coming up very well and we will keep bringing him along towards a trial.

More Joie (More Than Ready/Ma Joie), as you can see from the below photo, is another imposing gelding and this morning he galloped solo over 1000 metres. Again ridden by work rider Alana Pearson, he clocked 11.5 seconds over the final 200 metres and I couldn't be more pleased with what I saw. He has a lovely, long stride and he covers the ground so easily. He is ready to trial in a couple of weeks and we look forward to seeing him progress this preparation.
