Trackwork Friday 20th March 2020

Another Friday and we put another group of horses through their paces with a grass jumpout. It's invaluable experience for them and it helps them to get their eye back in before heading onto a trial.

The first jumpout consisted of Narvaez (Vancouver/Headway), Romania (Redoute’s Choice/Comaneci), Gallant Mist (Lonhro/Mist) and Noble Privilege (Lonhro/Queen Of The Hill).

The second jumpout consisted of Gateaux (Pierro/Danesiri), Fastest Trigger (Fighting Sun/Rock Of Kimberlite), Found Our Thrill (Vancouver/Blueberry Hill) and I Think I Can (So You Think/If I Can I Can).

Jumpout three consisted of Street Boss/Swing Dance, Burdekin (Written Tycoon/Homedge), Estate (Snitzel/Shibboleth) and Blazing Prince (Vancouver/Flashing Speed).

The final jumpout was a small but select affair between Elder Price (Savabeel/On Broadway) and Mrs Pankhurst (Not A Single Doubt/Emancipationist).

Meanwhile, down in Melbourne last start winner Ulusaba (Exceed And Excel/Mabsam) (gold jacket with black cap) participated in a grass jumpout over 800 metres at Flemington this morning. He jumped on terms and settled in third in the early stages. He travelled nicely throughout the contest and he was gently niggled along from the final turn. He stayed on nicely towards the line to finish a very close third on the heels of the leader, beaten by about 1 length. Jockey Lucinda Doodt said, “He jumped really nicely, and he settled well in behind. He closed up nicely in the straight and he was strong at the finish.” We are very pleased with this gelding and this was ideal to keep him fit between runs. He’s pencilled in for the Benchmark 78 Handicap over 2100 metres at Sandown on 8th April and we can't wait to see how he gets on.
