Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing

Wednesday 11th September – Canterbury

Rail: True

MAJOR WAGER (Race 2, 2:00pm, 1200m, No. 3, Jockey Sam Clipperton, 59kg)

Major Wager (Exceed and Excel/Grenda Road) four year old mare. Major Wager has pleased us in her work since her most recent trial at Rosehill on 20th August. She has done well physically and has improved greatly over the last 10 days and we are confident she will carry this progress forward to race day. Each way chance.

GOOD STOCK (Race 3, 2:35pm, 1250m, No. 4, Jockey Tim Clark, 57.5kg)

Good Stock (Tavistock/Big Voices) three year old gelding. Good Stock has done nothing but impress us in his track work and his one trial. He is very forward in his condition and fitness, hence we are sending him straight to the races and  we are as confident he will put in a big showing. Strong each way chance.

VIENNA RAIN (Race 3, 2:35pm, 1250m, No. 5, Jockey Adam Hyeronimus, 57.5kg)

Vienna Rain (Manhattan Rain/Vienna Lady) three year old colt. Vienna Rain has been a model student in his track work and his three trials. He has demonstrated versatility by both leading and being tucked in behind the pace and we think this experience will stand him in good stead on debut.  Whatever he does, he will only improve on but he may very well surprise come race day.

Wednesday 11th September – Bendigo

Rail: Out 9m Entire Circuit

SACRAMENTO (Race 3, 1:35PM, 1600m, No. 4, Jockey Linda Meech, 58kg)

Scramento (Pierro/Alzora) three year old gelding. Sacramento has pleased us immensely in his work since his seasonal reappearance at Geelong last week. He showed a great attitude to fight all the way to the line, and so the step up in trip from 1400 metres to 1600 metres will be in his favour. He also demonstrated his ability to effectively handle a Soft track. We have no doubt that his recent run will bring about the required improvement needed to see him be right there in the finish come race day. Strong each way chance.

MARDI GIRL  (Race 3, 1:35PM, 1600m, No. 4,  Jockey Stephen Baster, 56kg)

Mardi Girl ( Animal Kingdom/Mardi) three year old filly. Mardi Girl has done a good job since her debut run at Mornington two weeks ago. The step up in trip from 1200 metres to 1600 metres will be in her favour, although you won't see the best of her until she gets over 2000 metres and beyound but she looks a nice each way chance in this race.

PIERRO ROSE (Race 4, 2:10, 1600m, No. 6, Jockey Stephen Baster, 56kg)

Pierro Rose (Pierro/Rose of Sharon) three year old filly. Pierro Rose has progressed very nicely since her debut at Canterbury in August. She has really blossomed in her coat and the step up from 1200 metres to 1600 metres looks sure to be in her favour. There is good form out of her last start and she looks well placed in this race at her first attempt around the Melbourne way. Pierro Rose is very much an Oaks style of filly and we have high hopes for her. Winning chance.
