Spring Watch

An exciting group of Spring contenders lined up at Randwick's trials yesterday.

Faretti  (I Am Invincible/Tai Tai Tess) could have not been more impressive in his first trial back.  Jockey Tim Clark made the comment, "He was excellent, he got into a nice spot just off the speed and travelled really easily." The talented son of I Am Invicible will have another trial in approximately two weeks' time before we pencil him in to make his return to the races.

Fiery Red (Pierro/Blazing Snitzel) put in a very dominant display when winning his trial by a comfortable 4.5 lengths. Jockey Tommy Berry commented, " He quickened impressively in the straight and is ready to go to the races, wherever he goes he'll be hard to beat." Fiery Red is on track to make his return to the races in the 3 Year Old Maiden over 1100 metres at Warwick Farm on 28th August. Be sure to keep an eye out for him.

Stellar Impact (Deep Impact/Topliner) put in a yet another strong performance in her second trial yesterday and jockey Nash Rawiller could have not been more impressed with her. The Japanese Import is ready to make her Australian debut in the Maiden Plate over 1600 metres at Gosford on August 30th and she will be hard to beat.

It was all Maggie Miss (Medaglia D'oro/Rekindled Glory) as she cruised to the front in heat 12 to win her trial by an impressive 3.8 lengths.  Apprentice Leah Kilner was in the saddle and commented, "She was brilliant, very impressive. She got into a good rhythm and travelled nicely along the fence. I gave her a squeeze down the straight and she put them away easily." Maggie Miss is on track  to make her debut on 22nd August at Hawkesbury in the Maiden Plate over 1100 metres, another one for your black book.
