A Sensational Performance By US Import Con Te Partiro

What a courageous win from Con Te Partiro (Scat Daddy/Temple Street) in the Group 3 Dark Jewel Classic in Scone on Saturday. The mare’s performance showed that she is about to make her presence felt in the fillies and mares Classics throughout the winter months. With little room and nowhere apparent to go, Con Te Partiro pushed tenaciously through the tiniest of openings. She popped out as the winner like toothpaste from a tightly squeezed tube. She gave her new owners, Henry Field’s Newgate Farm and SF Bloodstock enormous gratification. This daughter of Scat Daddy proved that a future after racing in the U.S. or in Europe is very achievable Down Under.

The plan now for the black mare is to head to Queensland where the weather is warm and Stakes races are run every week over the coming months. The Stradbroke Handicap, Dane Ripper Stakes and the Tatts Tiara are all possible targets for the mare chasing Group 1 glory in her debut Aussie campaign.
