KINGSTON (Race 2, 2.20pm, 1250m, No. 2, rider Josh Parr, 57kg).
Kingston (Arlington/My Pirouette), three-year-old gelding. Ran a solid placing on debut at Gosford and has taken plenty of improvement from the run, this speedy gelding should take some catching around Canterbury second up. He’s fitter now, his work has been good and in an even sort of a race, he’s a good each-way chance.
WEDNESDAY 11 JANUARY 2017 – Sandown Hillside
Rail: +10m Entire Circuit
NEW ELEGANCE (Race 8, 5.00pm, 1400m, No. 8, rider Stephen Baster, 59kg).
New Elegance (High Chaparral/Karmann Ghia), four-year-old gelding. Like many of his breed, this High Chaparral gelding continues to improve with age and has had a lovely preparation in Melbourne, he’s had two strong jump-outs to bring him up to the mark, winning his most recent on impressively and has trained on strongly since. He’ll improve with the run under his belt but first up is a strong each-way chance.
