MADAME DEVINE (Race 1, 1.17pm, 1300m, No. 14, rider Tommy Berry, 57kg). Madame Devine, a daughter of Flying Spur, is having her fourth racecourse appearance, over 1300m at Warwick Farm. Her last start saw her running on late over 1200m to claim fourth in a strong drive to the line. She is expected to sit off the leaders and come with a late run. Each way chance.
MR JACKMAN (Race 2, 1.52pm, 1300m, No. 2, rider Thomas Huet, 58.5kg). This son of Northern Meteor is being stepped up in trip in his second start at Warwick Farm. On his most recent start, the colt stayed on to finish second over 1000m, prompting the additional 300m. The gelding should be seen to travel amongst the field and is a good each way chance.
THURSDAY 15TH AUGUST 2013 – GOSFORD
COUNTRYMAN (Race 1, 12.40pm, 1200m, No. 2, rider Tommy Berry , 59kg). This consistent son of Royal Academy is yet to finish out of the placings on race day and in his trials. Here he tries 1200m for the first time which will suit the colt and his style of racing. He will throw down a strong challenge.
CELTIC SEA (Race 6, 3.40pm, 1000m, No. 2, rider Nash Rawiller, 59.5kg). Celtic Sea will race without blinkers allowing her to settle early on in the race. This speedy daughter of Fastnet Rock has never disappointed on race day and is expected to stalk the leaders, before challenging for the lead. Expected to be in the mix.
