A Very Special Filly

I would love to draw your attention to a very special and promising filly before 2017 comes to a close.

Inglis Easter Sale, lot 56: Sebring x Berna (By Bernardini) (Chestnut Filly, Macquarie Stud) - /inglis.com.au/sales/info/2017+Australian+Easter+Yearling+Sale/catalogue/56

My catalogue comments: “Well grown, good bone for bulk. Nice, relaxed type with a good shoulder. Lovely quality, plenty of size. Statuesque. Nothing fazes her.”

This is your Group 1 Blue Diamond filly. There is terrific speed in this pedigree and an abundance of Black Type. This filly is from the family of GYPSY ALERT who was a 10 x winner between 1000 – 1300 metres and was Stakes placed on four occasions. She also hails from the family of Group 1 New Zealand Two Thousand Guineas winner, UGO FOSCOLO who now resides here at Tulloch Lodge.

Having trained Sebring myself to win the first two legs of the 2 Year Old Triple Crown, I have found that his progeny have inherited many of his traits that made him so special, namely his versatility and toughness.

This filly is currently training at my Flemington stable and is doing a wonderful job. She has already had a jumpout with jockey Beau Mertens making the comment, “I really like this filly, there’s so much quality about her. She jumped, travelled well throughout and finished off nicely in third position. When she jumps out again, you won't know her. She will benefit hugely from the experience today,” and that she has. She will have another jumpout Friday week, after which I will pencil her in to debut 2 weeks’ later. She is ready to go. If you are based in Melbourne and want to have a look for yourself, please let me know.
