Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing

Emma Pearce – Racing Manager

When did you start working for Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott Racing:

August, 2013

Best racing memory:

Touring the UK with my mum when she was Champion Amateur Jockey

Alternative career:

Something to do with science

History:

Emma grew up in the world's horse racing capital, Newmarket in England, where her parents train racehorses so she has a strong knowledge of the industry worldwide. Although she originally sought to pursue a career in science, completing a degree in Human Bioscience at the University of Exeter, her passion has always been with horses. During her time at university, she worked alongside Champion Jumps trainer, David Pipe, and upon graduation Emma secured a place on the prestigious Godolphin Flying Start Program. It was on the Australian leg of this program that Emma met Gai Waterhouse and the rest is history.

Emma now applies her comprehensive understanding of the industry to assist Gai and Adrian with the placement of their horses and the booking of jockeys. Emma also oversees communications and aids Claudia with sales.
