A Very Exciting 2YO and She Could Be Yours

Perhaps the most exciting up and coming 2 year old in the stable at present is this classy filly by the legendary Redoute’s Choice from a proven female family, and she could be yours!

Redoute’s Choice needs no introduction as a four-time Group 1 winner who went on to be a 3 x Champion sire. He is also the sire of Champion sires Snitzel, Not a Single Doubt and Stratum. But did you know he also sires top fillies?

Led by Champion Miss Finland, 80 Redoute’s Choice fillies have won over 160 Stakes races with 55 Group winners. Included in that are 17 Group 1 winners of nearly 30 Group 1 races with victories in the Golden Slipper, VRC Oaks, TJ Smith, Flight Stakes, MRC Thousand Guineas, Sires’ Produce and Australian Oaks among their resumes.

In all, from his 593 fillies to start 445 have won at least one race for a 75% strike rate with 22% placing in the top three in a Stakes race and an outstanding 13% Stakes winners to runners. With how this filly has done in her early work, we wouldn’t be surprised if she added herself to the list of her amazing sire’s roll of honour.

But Redoute’s Choice isn’t the only highlight in this filly’s pedigree.

Her dam is the Anabaa mare Anabarbarian, who won at 2 over 1000 metres and placed a farther four times from 900 to 1100 metres. As a broodmare, she has produced three winners from four to race, including Group 3 James HB Carr Stakes fourth place finisher BRIGADOON RISE with her only runner not to win hitting the board all three times she’s raced in recent months. With two of Anabarbaria’s foals still active on the track, there is a very strong chance our filly gets some exciting pedigree updates in the near future.

Anabarbarian’s pedigree goes from good to great with her granddam, MIDNIGHT FEVER, who was the Top Filly on the 1986-87 Australasian 2-Year-Old Classification after winning the Group 1 Blue Diamond and before going on the following year to win the One Thousand Guineas. In addition to producing Campbell Fever, she also produced Group 3 placed TOSAMBA but her best work came as a producer-of-producers. Her daughters and granddaughters have produced six Stakes winners so far including Group 1 winner ROCK CLASSIC and Group winners ASTRODAME and MAHISARA. As an added bonus, many branches of her family still have active runners including the Stakes winners ULMANN and CANDIKA.

Even more promising for our filly is that of the 14 starters bred on the Redoute’s Choice/Anabaa cross as she is, nine have won with two Stakes winners. If that isn’t a good sign, we’re not sure what is!

This is an exciting opportunity to buy into a filly who has tremendous upside as a daughter of a legendary stallion from an active female family. Even better, she is in full training as we speak and is set to trial in the next 2 weeks. You won’t have to wait long before she has you in the Winner’s Circle, she’s ready and raring to go!

Below is a video of the filly's recent jumpout. She is the horse furthest from the screen.
